Florida Council of 100 kicks off startup accelerator with 46 companies
The Florida Council of 100 is kicking off a startup accelerator program that will connect 46 early-stage technology companies with CEOs, potential customers and investors.
On Tuesday the group launched its expanded Ambition Accelerated initiative, which focuses on attracting and scaling businesses in four key industries: health care, financial technology, defense technology and resilience. It is an expansion of the Gold Coast Tech Accelerator, a program to build defense and financial technology companies in South Florida championed by Related Ross founder Stephen Ross.
While Florida is becoming a magnet for headquarter relocations, the goal of Ambition Accelerated is to position the state as a top destination for building businesses from the ground up. To do that, the state has to create a market that founders and operators want to be a part of.
